Marin Mersenne had many different hairstyles during his career. He reached fame as an outstanding philosopher, theologian, mathematician, musicologist, music theorist and physicist. However, the French theologian, philosopher, mathematician and music theorist, often referred to as the "father of acoustics" was especially known for his extradordinary looks and his livable character. Before his tragic death at the age of 60 he was often in the spotlight of magazines and tabloids because of his marvelous haircuts.
